Eddie Bauer Cloud Cap Rain Jacket Review
Now it’s no secret that I am a huge Eddie Bauer fan and the Cloud Cap Rain Jacket is no exception! I currently own two of them, one in purple and one in a coral-orange colour. One of the things I love most about this jacket is that it works as a regular jacket for me. I run very warm bodied, so when I am out on the mountain and it’s a little chilly I can just whip out my rain jacket and I am perfectly warm. For those who are not as warm running as I am though, this is still a great jacket to layer on top of sweaters or long sleeve base layers.
I will likely continue to buy different versions of this jacket because I just love it so much. It folds down extremely small and fits in the front pocket of my day pack, taking up virtually no room. Even when packed the Cloud Cap Rain Jacket is super lightweight. I usually just leave mine in my backpack pocket all summer long and I never even notice it in there.

Looking For Something?
- great colours
- packs really small
- totally waterproof
- zipper vents
- not breathable
- hood falls unless really tight
- no inside chest pocket
One of the things I love most about Eddie Bauer is their affordability. This jacket sells for $99 regular price. Eddie Bauer is great for sales though, in June and December they always have massive clearance events and you can get your hands on things up to 75% off! When I first bought my purple rain jacket I only paid $60 for it, and the coral one I think I paid $75.
The last two features that I love about this jacket is that it is totally waterproof (so great for when its actually raining) and the air vents under your arm are in the perfect location! Like I said before, I am a very warm bodied person so these air vents are my favourite thing! Even when it is raining I can open up the vents and stay cool, while also not getting wet!
All in all the Eddie Bauer Cloud Cap Rain Jacket is one of my favourite Eddie Bauer products and also one of my favourite hiking items I own. I bring it on all of my hikes and adventures!
